A Night of Strategy and Tradition: Our Friday Tavla Night!
What a fantastic turnout for our recent Tavla & Okey Night! We had over 30 players join us, filling the room with the sound of rolling dice, clacking tiles, and friendly competition. It was wonderful to see multiple generations sitting across from one another—proof that our traditions are thriving here in Adelaide.
The Highlights
- The Competition: From seasoned masters to those just learning the ropes, the energy was high all night.
- The “Magnet” Effect: The night was so lively that strangers passing by saw how busy and vibrant the cafe was and actually wandered in just to grab some dessert and soak up the atmosphere!
- The Atmosphere: A huge thank you to the staff at Istanbul Lounge. They were run off their feet keeping everyone fueled with endless rounds of authentic Turkish tea and a delicious variety of Turkish desserts.
Community in Action
